Tampa Federal Criminal Attorney

T. Federico Bower, Esquire Biography

En Español

Since beginning his legal career in 1998, Mr. Bower has represented clients in both criminal and civil matters across the State of Florida. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Bower represented the State of Florida as a prosecutor. He later defended clients accused of crimes as well as represented some of the nation’s largest insurance companies. Both having been prosecutors and members of a large firm, Mr. Bower and Mr. O’Brien decided to join forces in order to combine their experience and focus on personal injury litigation and criminal defense cases across the State of Florida.

While the firm’s primary office is located in Tampa, Mr. Bower has litigated matters before federal courts from Miami to Orlando and in state courts from the Florida Keys and Dade County to Hillsborough counties. Further, he has taken on state appellate matters before the Third District Court of Appeal in Miami, Florida and the Second District Court of Appeal in Tampa, Florida.

Mr. Bower, a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Miami School of Law, is a former prosecutor with the Office of the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office - the fourth largest prosecutor's office in the country. Mr. Bower and Mr. O’Brien were often litigation partners in high level felony cases which they prosecuted. After leaving the D.A.'s office, Mr. Bower became a litigation associate with the Miami office of insurance defense firm, Kubicki Draper, P.A. While working as an associate for the named partner, Mr. Daniel Draper, Mr. Bower defended major national insurance companies such as State Farm, Geico, Zurich, and Allstate, to name a few. Mr. Bower handled various types of serious personal injury cases, such as wrongful death, trip and fall, medical malpractice, car accidents, and negligent security among others.

After gaining invaluable insight into the strategies of insurance companies, Mr. Bower embarked upon a new path with his own law firm: representing clients who were injured due to someone else’s negligence and collecting awards from the insurance companies and individuals responsible for his clients’ injuries. He also maintained his practice as a criminal defense attorney representing those individuals accused of criminal acts. By becoming partners with Mr. O’Brien and forming O’Brien Bower, P.A., “A Florida Law Firm,” Mr. Bower has drawn upon his experience and that of his partner to represent individuals seriously injured due to the negligence of another, as well as those individuals accused of a crime.

Mr. Bower is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and is a member of the Federal Court, Middle District of Florida and the Federal Court, Southern District of Florida. He is also a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Coral Gables Bar Association. Mr. Bower, his assistant, and his receptionist are fully fluent in Spanish.
